RE: Evolution
The christians make some of the best masochists: De facto, they seem to have to be. Drich loves getting beaten up, but people here are becoming bored with his inability to sing more than one monotune.

How does it go again??

I would like to point out that entropy, involving the second law of thermodynamics, goes against evolution.
Are we essentially evolved spacesuits stupidly assembled by no other reason than to reproduce more of the same stupidly assembled spacesuits that will eventually cease to exist? Clap

How does creationism still work in the theological sense along with evolution? The official position of the Catholic church is that evolution is true. That begs the question: what did Jesus die for if Adam & Eve never fell? We're getting saved from what?

The Roman Catholic Church is one of the reasons why the world doesn't understand Jesus. Just because they have an enormous mansion to live in and proclaim they are the ultimate authority overseer of the relationship between God and man doesn't mean that whatever they say, Jesus says so too.

Why?

Let me put it this way: Taking entropy into consideration when observing evolution, how can a species gain energy to form more and more complicated systems, like the circulatory and reproductive systems? Where is the second system that the species is getting its energy from?

Sorry? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever! Most of the energy that drives life and evolution on the Earth comes from the Sun. What on Earth has the second law got to do with this?

And if we are talking laws of thermodynamics then how do you equate the notion that God created everything with the first law that states that energy cannot be created or destroyed?

You have simply misinterpreted 2LOT.

As a christian, you should be fine with violations of 2LOT, as the fucking bible is centered around one ( jesus being resurrected ).

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

But if we are taking the energy form the sun, then according to entropy (which needs to be applied to evolution, you understand why), the sun must be losing energy.

When someone makes a sandwich, then eats it, we can say he "created" the sandwich, then "destroyed" it. Actually, the first law goes well with the depiction of an Eternal Energy-Giver. Since all energy (literally speaking) cannot be created or destroyed, it proves energy to be eternal, without a beginning or end, or always existing.
