I have a panic attack every december, but it's largely for the reasons of working a non-commissioned sales position at a retail store at that time.
As if the Mayans were these all-knowing people with far advanced abilities to see into the future. Wooooooooooo! *holds hands up and shakes fingers at you* Apparently they couldn't predict the demise of their own culture which got absorbed into various other cultures.
