Well, the carrot for Buddhism is obviously re-incarnation. If you don't have a gazillion lifecycles waiting for you to behave, the entire motivation just vaporises.
Of course there's still the option of being a good person because you think it's the Right Thing to do, but everybody knows there's no morals outside religion, right? Right? I kid.
By the way, if you want to distinguish the groups with labels, I think "supernaturalist" and "naturalistic" would be the right ones.
The only kind of supernaturalist atheists I could imagine are those who haven't been deconverted by logical reasoning but by emotional factors or intuition, but with all the new agers, who knows.
