Oh great, someone who believes the media over what actual people in the industry think. Facebook privacy used to be a massive problem, but they have entire teams dedicated to boosting privacy these days. You can control almost every aspect of your account, which is far more than most services offer.

In reality, the only privacy related problem with Facebook today is the amount of data they keep on you. Still, I would argue this falls into a totally different category (data retention) than what we are talking about here (data sharing).

Yes, and they are completely irrelevant when discussing Facebook privacy. Any website that holds personal data can potentially have that personal data leaked by hackers. It would be Facebook's fault for allowing itself to get hacked, but it wouldn't be a privacy violation by Facebook.

No, it is not OK. I would expect the hacker to be dealt with by the appropriate authorities. But, this still has nothing to do with Facebook privacy.
