Objections to the April Fools Day prank.

RE: Objections to the April Fools Day prank.
I think Tiberius, is that, given my own short time on this forum, my initial thoughts when you declared your sock puppet was immediately reverendjeremiah parody.

This may never have been your intention, or it may have been, frankly it doesn't matter, the same goes for LMA.

We all found it hilarious, we all congratulate you on fooling us (I can at least claim to have Poe-spotted Niqabi in my first post in their introduction, :fistpump: ).

The central issue I think is that there were perhaps, consciously, or subconsciously, some passive-aggressive nature to some of the "characters" created, which can be perceived as a personal affront.
It doesn't MATTER if it was intentional or not, but there was a failure to understand how a couple of these caricatures would be perceived by others.

Congratulations on an extremely well played prank, I simply think perhaps given the volatile nature of opposing opinions on this forum, a little more care might have been due to respect those who hold less extreme versions of the Poe opinions.

Even godchild can be a little offended about One King, and maybe rightfully so. I give less of a fuck at that point, showing what a hypocrite I am.

If you’re going to watch tele, you should watch Scooby Doo. That show was so cool because every time there’s a church with a ghoul, or a ghost in a school. They looked beneath the mask and what was inside?

The last word of this was unnecessary, and hardly condusive to constructivism... hence the following.

Right well I guess I've been stupid and taken it far too seriously. I'll take you guys words for it that you weren't there to take the piss out of individual people. I think it seemed that way, but I honestly don't care to the point that I want anyone to fall out over it all.

I still think it was an over-elaborate prank.

Don't get me wrong I found it as funny as anyone else at first but I guess I just over-analysed things in the aftermath on both chat and with other members privately.

My bad. Let's just bloody move on. I'm not saying any more on this for fear of being such a killjoy.

Did you read my quotes? I was well aware there might be a personal front, which was why I didn't reply to rev's PM, or confront him personally. We weren't out to troll anyone in particular; that wouldn't have been funny.

I intentionally crafted AA so that he was a complete moron, and would be annoying to everyone, regardless of political beliefs (and as rev pointed out earlier, whilst he initially liked him, he quickly realized he was an idiot).

You don't understand what I'm saying.

Given the history of you and Rev, left wing anarchist might have been a poor choice of Poe.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

And why is it not a poe of me? I am a left-wing anarchist. I've had some 'history' with Tibbers... and I can generally laugh at myself... quite ideal to poe me Smile

Albeit left wing's chasing me out... heh. Thinking

Yet if you read his posts, he is clearly not a left wing anarchist.
