I've heard quite a few times people say there may be life under the ice. I'm skeptical though, seems very unlikely to me that life would thrive in an environment effectively cut off from the sun.
You'd be surprised, but such life would most likely be limited to extremophiles, but that is still evidence of life.

I wonder if the probe will be able to anything to actually see under the ice. It's miles thick, afterall.

Well not see "per say" but at least generate a representative image through radio/sonar waves.

Lol, I know they're not going to stick a camera down there.
I'm pointing out the difficulties of any waves penetrating the miles of thick, solid ice.
