"We have a gaming section without a Steam thread?" Raphiel muttered to himself. "What the fuck are they thinking? Seriously man, its one of the greatest things ever made for PC gamers."
"You know talking to yourself is the first sign of madness... right?" said a concerned looking labrador. Raphiel turned round indignantly.
"Shut up Tyler, dogs can't talk."
He turned back to face his keyboard and began to type.
Hey, just thought I'd start a steam thread since I'm pretty much addicted to steam sales right now.
Bought Arkham City afew days ago but until I've fixed up my new rig I can't play it. Anyone else cashed in on any recent sales?

fyi don't ever expect Diablo on steam. Blizzard doesn't sell any games there.
Also, I've had Steam ever since they ditched WON Authentication with Team Fortress Classic. OG, bitches.

Duh.
IDK, I try not to look for any games on Steam, it's really bad for my credit card. And I don't have time to play any games at the moment, but perhaps this summer I could buy Mass Effect 2 and 3 and try them out. And both Portals. And maybe the Fable-series. And and and.. Fuck.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I've benefited greatly from their 75% off sales, though. Hope Dark Souls comes to Steam, but it's not very likely. . .

I buy / donate to all the Humble Bundle & Indie Royale bundles.
A few good Steam finds from there:
Aquaria
The Binding of Isaac
Brainpipe
Data Jammers: Fast Forward
Dungeon Defenders
Dungeons of Dredmor (fun, fun, fun)
Hammerfight (this one is awesome)
Jamestown
Machinarium
Osmos
Shank (another awesome game)
Unstoppable Gorg
World of Goo
Other General Steam Suggestions:
Fallout: New Vegas (even better with Old World Blues & Gun Runner's Arsenal)
Vampire: Bloodlines (awesome when patched & modded)
Trying out Hard Reset next, will let you know how it is.

Binding of Isaac is so cool man, can't wait till Wrath of the Lamb.
I'd put all my games up here but honestly? Theres too many, been going nuts on sales for the past year. It'd be shorter just to add me. RaphielDrake, same as on here.
Little known gems:
Alpha Protocol
Blackwell series
Gemini Rue
Atom Zombie Smasher
Killing Floor

Yeah, I've seen reviews on that game. Looks insanely hard, I'd love it if that came on steam.

Steam is like crack. I've found that since I downloaded the client my game purchase beat rate has skyrocketed although I only spend a little more a month on games due to the sales. I love Steam!
