Cheap ring too. Give it a wash first.

Oh, so fucking funny. Hahahahah

Seriously, ditch the ring idea. Buy her a cheap ring until you can afford it. She'll love it either way. I, once, was happy with a ring from the quarter machine. I was, however, 17, but the thought was still rad. Big Grin

You forgot step 3: Be thankful it isn't customary to exchange bracelets.

I have one.

If you get one, make sure it's coated because that shit rusts like crazy.

RE: atheists assemble!
there's no real reason for me not to go with the meteorite ring, I suppose I could but the thing is this will be the formal one, I can buy a simple one in the meantime but this is the one that will be used in the little box, I know the actual ring will make no difference to her but it matters to me. I feel it to be only a matter of pride, I like the old chivalrous british gentleman's way and in this matter perhaps moreso. I want to, for both my own satisfaction and the sense of importance this ring brings with it, I know I could go simple and sentimental but this is a relationship that's been criticised as a childhood thing from the start and affirming the exact opposite would mean a lot to me.
So as lovely as your suggestion is, and as much as it will undoubtedly be used in the coming months, I feel I need some formality to it (plus, she isnt the one that can't wait, I am).

Tell your parents. They should buy you your ring?
