Umm... Hovercat?

RE: Umm... Hovercat?
That's a little weird.

I once knew a Barossa-German family who grew wine grapes. They gave their 11 yo daughter a full grown dog as a pet. The day she got it, the dog ran under the tractor and was killed. So daddy skinned it and tanned the hide. The hide then became a rug in the child's room. I saw it once, when I was about 9 and was horrified.

Quote:Barossa German (German: Barossadeutsch or Barossa Deutsch) refers to a dialect of German, which was once common in South Australia.[1] The prominent South Australian writer, Colin Thiele (1920–2006), whose grandparents were German immigrants, referred to "Barossa Deutsch" as: "that quaintly inbred and hybrid language evolved from a century of linguistic isolation".[2] It takes its name from the Barossa Valley, where many German people settled during the 19th century. Some words from Barossa German have entered South Australian English.[3]

No wonder you were horrified, Pad, that's horrific. I don't know how the little girl would have taken it, but if I had essentially the flayed corpse of my new pet on my bedroom floor, regardless of my age, I'd probably never sleep again.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Sounds like there was no relationship there. As horrifying as watching an animal being run over, I'm fairly certain it's not nearly as traumatic as a pet you've bonded with dying violently.

Very German -- make dogrug from dog.

Wait'll they get a hold of lemons...
