I believe it is morally wrong to give people false hope that at least some part of themselves (in particular their minds) will survive death. The world would be a lot different (dare I say) a better place if people adopted at most an agnostic position to our fates after we die.

Because science has showed that even our minds emerged out of our material perishable brains, that alone casts a lot of doubt on any kind of afterlife. Not to mention totally debunking the dualism (between a material body and immaterial mind or soul) which Christianity and other religions preach.

However I can understand those who cant get any comfort out of the annihilation of our existence after our deaths. I will admit I cant get much comfort out of that.

False hope. She should enjoy what time she has left with her family and friends, not waste time and money on pseudoscientific rubbish.

Well, if she's taking any homeopathic remedies she better not stop or she might overdose!

That's true. Water is very potent! It needs to be taken in small doses, from expensive bottles.

^^exactly. if she's inoperable, just let her go out in comfort and stop money-grabbing. i said this once my grandmother passed from cancer spread all throughout her torso. the doctor lied to us, at her request, to not worry us with her condition. if i'd known she was days away, i woulda given her a boatload of atreet morphine to just feel better - since that's what she said is the only thing that helped her to feel no pain (and see the little birdies, which she loved).
