I too am sorry for your loss Pad. I’m also glad you had the opportunity and will to be there with her at the end. When I lost my last one he died with his head on my lap. Unfortunately he was already beyond knowing what was going on around him. When Pops finally passes in what I expect to be the not too distant future I want my face to be the last thing he sees and my hands stroking his ears to be the last thing he feels.
