In this episode we witness a scary homeless preacher interrupt Atheists assisting the poor. Now, don't quote me on this but I'm fairly certain this guy isn't a biologist.

Nah, he had a female friend with him. Nice guy right?

So your defense of him is an argument from ignorance. If I can't demonstrate a better solution, then anything he did was "okie dokie". The moron essentially took the law into his own hands, and then called the cops to back up his play. That's total shit. Not only did you ignore the very real potential for tragedy in such vigilantism, he also put innocent people at risk. What if when the cops showed up, the dude produced a weapon and injured or killed a cop? They had no idea what might happen, just as on any call. Yet according to you, taking such risks with his life, and that of the others present is justified because he got what he wanted in the end, and no other solution immediately presented itself. Nice justification. Sorry, but I find your ethics deplorable. Life is unfair, and some times good people suffer unjustly. That's no excuse for negligently taking matters into your own hands. If this was a regular occurrence, why was he unprepared for what would happen if the cops were late or didn't show up at all? Your defense is the worst kind of ethic imaginable, that the end justifies the means. Sorry, but I don't agree.

Erm... no, no he didn't. What he did was perfectly legal. He was on his own property. What I'm saying is he was taking abuse on a daily basis and you're berating his peaceful solution to a very difficult situation. The fact of the matter is he could of got hurt if he'd chosen to do nothing, the guy wasn't going to let up on him till he left town. If I thought the end justified the means I'd have no objection to him bashing the guys head in and the fact that this man chose a solution that required no violence on his part is a point in his favour.
Now if you can restrain yourself from personal attacks on my ethics for one second:
What is your alternative?

It is not vigilantism to record something. The man was being attacked and recorded it. Victim blaming, ftw. *sigh*
