Well it is true to a point, perhaps not all "inside" but at least a network of individuals knew what was going to happen. It was not cave dwelling terrorists, and even if it was, they were well justified.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean that the individuals/groups who were involved in 9/11 were justified in doing so?

Very much a matter of opinion. Worth remembering that there were widespread celebrations throughout the Arab world at that time.


Is there ever a moral justification for terrorism? In my opinion,no there is not,looking at what I've seen so far. However I also reject the notion of 'a just war'

I watched the 9/11 attack on live TV, horrified but not the least bit surprised. I'm actually amazed there have not been more.

Like all terrorism, the 9/11 attacks had a political agenda.They were also perhaps the most successful use of terrorism in recorded history. The hysterical and vengeful US reaction played right into their hands.

Nobody 'deserves' to be killed by terrorists any more than anyone 'deserves' to be killed as 'collateral damage'. However,terrorism is now and has always been a legitimate tool of war. The IRA bombings and 9/11 attacks are exactly the kind of thing would do in context. How guilty I would feel would probably depend on what I had lost due the actions of the enemy.

OF COURSE I do not support the goals of Islamists. However,when fighting a war,only one thing matters;winning. In practice there is one and only one rule; "the ends justify the means".
