It hasn't always been,and isn't in some countries. (including parts of the US and Australia)

There are no pragmatic reason to ban prostitution and many for it to be legalised. That is illegal in many countries is another glaring example of the failure of the separation of religion and the state.

ME? I think prostitution is pathetic and sordid,but none of my business.
