Xtian TV: Paedophilia, snuff fantasies and puppets
Martin Wagner of The Atheist Experience recently posted this on the show's FB wall. I'm going to quote it directly as I don't think I can add to or improve on what was said:

Quote:Martin here. In case you hadn't heard, there's this popular (in their circles) Christian ventriloquist named Ronald Brown, who has a children's TV show called Joy Junction. Brown was recently arrested in a pedo sting, and charged with possession of kiddie porn and conspiracy to kidnap a child. You don't want to know what his plans were for the kid he was going to kidnap, only that whatever you're thinking of, they were worse. They did not, shall we say, involve the child being alive while Ronald was having his fun.

[Paragraph snipped as it referred to Joy Junction's continued place in the schedules, evidenced by a screengrab; the programme appears to have been removed in light of events - Stimbo]

If you have a strong stomach, go here to wade through the sewer of Ronald's sick little mind: http://bit.ly/NIBRrn
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Oh, but he wasn't a REAL Christian...Rolleyes

He must have broke one of God's commandments, right? 'Though shalt not rape children'.

What?! Really? The hell you say.

The ultimate moral authority of the universe went out of his way to give us the best rules he had for us to live good lives, and he didn't include anything about child rape? God must have had only limited space and thought that the commandment about coveting my neighbor's ass was more important than child rape.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

Very creepy...
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful" - Edward Gibbon (Offen misattributed to Lucius Annaeus Seneca or Seneca the Younger) (Thanks to apophenia for the correction)

Know more about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you' - Neil deGrasse Tyson

Holy shit. One step away from serial murder. Seriously. I think if he tastes blood, he'd never be able to stop and he was obviously escalating.

The sad thing is that I recently wrote a short story about the sort of things the guy was thinking; only the guy who did it was a doctor, his target was his mother, and a guy who was invited to his home killed him in disgust. You don't want to know what inspired it.

It's okay. I like to watch serial killer shows on Investigative Discovery. I am fascinated by these abnormal minds.

I've been doing the same on YT the last few weeks. There's probably something primal about the fascination of the Ed Geins, Ted Bundys and Fred Wests of this world. Hopefully the authorities got to this latest one before he got as far as those.
