Whilst browsing several crappy self hypnotism videos (don't ask) I recently stumbled upon a section known as the 'whispering community' on youtube (sounds lame I know).
It opened my eyes to what these people are calling "ASMR" or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response.
Anyone heard of it?
Quick idea if you haven't:

I get this sensation at seemingly random times, but often whilst in tedious conversation with someone while they're explaining something to me. It is triggered by other things as well though. I didn't know it had a specific name before I found these videos, hell I actually thought I was the only weirdo who got this sensation.
I tried a half arsed Google search on it, and there seems to be very little in the way of scientific explanation. I'm very curious to know what triggers it exactly, and why the sensation happens. But I can't really find anything.
Anyone on here get this same feeling from time to time? Anyone got more info on it?
Btw, if anyone is curious to 'stimulate' this feeling yourself, try watching this:
Have at it peeps.

Quote:Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a term used to describe a sensory experience characterized by a tingling sensation in the head and scalp, which can be triggered by sounds like whispering or brushing, and visual stimulus like painting or drawing.
