RE: Libya
I saw on the news this morning, but I cannot find anything confiming it now, that the attack on the ambassador Chris Stevens was preplanned, and the riot may have been either a diversion or just the excuse the attackers were looking for. Anybody else hear this?

The strategically wise thing for the US to have done was to patronize Secular Arab Nationalism. But after Eisenhower we weren't smart enough to do this, and basically ceded Arab nationalism to the Soviets.

I saw that as well. Also from what I heard on the news, though not confirmed, a Libyan official was suspected of passing information along to the terrorists prior to the attacks on the embassy.....but Libyan officials have arrested four people in connection to the embassy attacks......

One CNN article that says "Yes, it was Al-Qaeda."

One CNN article that says, "No, it wasn't."

Thinking

Granted, the "Yes" article is slightly fresher.

The Quilliam Foundation is nearly certain while the New York Times says US officials increasingly believe it to be the case.

Libyans seem to have reached that conclusion too. Yesterday, they held this demonstration in Benghazi

There is also a tweet at the bottom of the blog that says that 10 Libyan security force soldiers died defending the embassy.

Thanks for this post. It's very enlightening and heartwarming to see the people of Libya opposing the murderers.

In fact, against the spread of Soviet, the United States has supported creationism Islamic countries. Evangelists made opposition to evolution. Also supported the hijab
Thus, the spread of Soviet stopped, but the fundamentalist Islamic stronger.
A culture of Islam in the Arabian peninsula, in this situation there is nothing for them to do. But in Egypt, North Africa, Iran, Afghanistan, the spread of Islam in these countries, an unfortunate situation for the world.
