I'm sure you can comprehend chronology. Okay, see, you're under the impression that I have my fiance on a leash. You'd be wrong. He is free to do whatever he wants, whenever he wants. I have done nothing to you to cause you to behave like this towards me; I feel the comment there unwarranted. Again, there is not need to make a big stink in someone introduction thread. Let's all be big people and walk away, neh?
I didn't even say anything rude to you, Annik. I said to chastise your boyfriend about it. You'll notice the stink was in reference to a legitimate post about this person's introduction that you did not respond to. Instead, you came in and went all hall monitor. Hare Krishnas are as bad as Catholics. If you have nothing to say in response to that, fine. However, don't act like it went all off topic because I'm some asshole. Happy pants there decided to get all serious. I'm just pointing out that what you don't know about Hare Krishna you may not want to know. Also, OP started a discussion, not just an intro, so there.
So, question is, does the OP have any evidence to support his 'krishna'? Or is it the same as others use to promote yawheh? or jesus?
The thing about religion is that they can't all be right, but most certainly they are all wrong. (October 5, 2012 at 3:14 pm)Annik Wrote: Maybe a user's intro post isn't the right place for this. That's why in my first response to the OP I mentioned he/she should open another thread to discuss these things. You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
My real name isn't 5th. It's Harry........ spelt correctly.

(Except that 'god' has been redefined ad nauseum to avoid anything like this. Said argument wouldn't disprove god, but provide evidence against him indirectly by destroying the credibility of 'evidence' for him) John Adams Wrote:The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion. As we all reject the claim of the existence of any god or gods, the reference to Santa Claus is fully valid and just as important or perhaps even more so.Quote:Can you prove Santa doesn't exist? That's a way less interesting or important question. Questions about God are all about who you are and what your life is about. If you can prove to me that Santa Claus does not exist, I can prove to you that your god does not exist either. Myself, I find it easier to discount the existence of a god than Santa.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.
