140 Spitfires?
http://apnews.excite.com/article/2012101...AKL80.html

Quote:YANGON, Myanmar (AP) - As many as 140 World War II Spitfire fighter planes - three to four times the number of airworthy models known to exist - are believed to be buried in near-pristine condition in Myanmar. A British-Myanmar partnership says it will begin digging them up by the end of the month.

Be great if they are in good enough condition to fly.

If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71.

I don't know what it is but there's something just so damn inspiring, if that's the right word, about the Spit. For me. they are the concentrated essence of what a fighter plane should be.

In fact, while digging around about this story, I just found out that if you happen to live in America or can afford to get there, you can get to fly one yourself.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
