No, but they use religion to justify what they have done and then others use it to justify what they are doing. It will not end with religion, but its spread might become more limited.

They might just come up with something else, but I do see your point. I hear there are less murders in Commonwealth nations that outlawed gun ownership relative to the US with the 2nd Amendment.
