I was going to post about the glaring discrepancies between TSA practices at major vs. minor, regional airports... But I think that would get me on some sort of government watch list... The basic point that I'm getting at though is not all airports and TSA personnel follow the same guidelines, even if they're supposed to. There are huge holes that could be exploited... It's the illusion of safety, not actual safety.
Just sounds like free anal to me.

As a side note..it's a strange world we find ourselves in if folks cramming enough C4 (and associated detonators) up their assholes to cause a ruckus..... is such a pressing and credible concern as to warrant widespread, mandatory, cavity searches.

I think the terrorists need to do is send guy with c4 attached to a device that can be set off by rectal examinations to act suspiciously at an air port.

Yup...I have no idea how the TSA is actually supposed to prevent this sort of thing. In my [heavily biased] opinion the most effective way to deal with terrorists is in -their- homes...under cover of darkness, long before they ever get to the point where a TSA agent is the last thing standing between a plane full of a people and an anus-bomb.

Have you ever been cavity searched? I don't think you would make a joke if you have been, it is more invasive than you imagine. I doubt anyone where would want to have themselves or family members fingered just to travel by air. Men, women and children it's all the same for TSA.

I've had a prostate exam. Granted, it's probably a kinder, gentler finger up the ass when compared to a cavity search, but it was still a finger up the ass, nonetheless.
And it wasn't so much a joke as it was showing my disdain for the idea through sarcasm. It's sort of my thing. Besides, life becomes unbearable if you can't have a sense of humor about the shitty parts.
