RE: New to forum
It seems that a conversation has been started by something I said? I am new to this forum and I think I simply stated that I do not believe in a deity or any religion. I am not about to PROVE anything to anybody. The burden of proof is certainly NOT on me. I choose to not believe. I am not trying to show anyone if he does or does not exist. I think that's exactly what Atheism is. So telling me (or whoever you were telling) to look up the word Atheism is just rude.

I'd pay it no mind if I were you, at least not seriously (or conversely, as seriously as you would wish it). This is just the way this place is sometimes, the most innocent remarks can spiral off into the most weird and wonderful directions. It's the reason atheists are often compared to a herd of cats; we all want to go our own independent ways, or just kick back and play with shiny ribbons. Add a couple of theists to the mix, stir liberally and stand well back.

For the record, I would actually agree with what you said in your last post, except I probably wouldn't say that atheism, at least in my experience, is a matter of choice necessarily. I believe things, or not, as a consequence of my upbringing and my own personal reasoning faculties, among other things. I like Marmite for similar reasons.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I feel I am finally home and feel great honoring my true believe that there is no God. FINALLY!Smile

What's a true belief? 0.o

Welcome to the forum, have fun Smile

Bitches want some sandwiches. Where are our goddamn sandwiches?!
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

Well, you said fairly different:

Quote:I feel I am finally home and feel great honoring my true believe that there is no God.

If this was a joke or simply sarcasm then do forgive me.

I'm not the forum cunt for nothing.

For the record I find coming onto an atheist forum and dictating to us what we believe and telling us we have 'faith' to be incredibly rude (directed at Dan, not FishnChips).

Welcome Enjoy yourself!

p.s. I have to agree with Napoleon here. Strictly speaking, the claim/positive assertion that there is/are no god/gods is 'anti-theism' not 'a-theism'; anti-theism is a sub-group of atheism.
Sum ergo sum
