98% of scientists are atheist? I know that number is not right. I believe the last time I checked it was around 72%. You don't have to inflate numbers in your argument. You don't win a prize.

the 72% number probably came from a survey that included the "scientists" at Answers in Genesis

85% of the National Academy of Sciences apparently: http://www.stephenjaygould.org/ctrl/news/file002.html

So they were both off by 13%.

Ummmm... No I don't. Haven't we been over this?

I don't know have you? So you're saying the bible isn't true? Or are some bits true and some bits not?

Are the scientists the ones you mention the makers of spermicide corn? There are a lot of scientists I would rather not trust, they push limits and mess with stuff far too complex and unknown to be safe. And if they have a conflict of interest, and want to make money instead of right...
I have to agree with you on this one. Scientists are messing around with experiments that could be costly to the human race. They are now trying to duplicate life form with their mixtures of chemicals. in 50 years we may see mindless robots wondering the earth with no soul, created by men that don't believe in God.

We have scientific proof that the human brain was Hardwired with a "God-gene" during creation.
Modern scientists are trying to duplicate human life (without) this God-Gene implanted in their brain.

If it was up to science. Mankind will be roaming the earth with no mother or father, but they are a creation of a science experiment.

That's frickin scary.

Hopefully I won't be around to witness this event.

I completely agree. I always cringe when someone makes that statement.

Yes - Define "smarter", it isn't all about IQ averages. Intelligence isn't something that easy to define - I also believe that intelligence isn't necessarily about knowledge for instance - it's more about how to get knowledge, the working it out. Because memorizing a load of facts like an encylopedia - IMO is not intelligence.

So yeah define "smarter".

Erm...no. Creating living matter out of non-living matter is what they are trying to do. These experiments cast light on how life first appeared on our planet.

Erm...no. Current studies suggest that humans may have an area of the brain that produces beliefs in higher powers, but this is not "proof" of anything of what you are talking about. The theory is that having these beliefs was an evolutionary advantage, as it caused us to take less risks and ultimately bond more as a society.

Erm...no. If you are talking about cloning, then one could make the argument that a clone has the same mother and father as the original copy. Other than that, I don't know of any plans to "create" human life from scratch; creating simple cells from scratch is difficult enough.
Quote:Hopefully I won't be around to witness this event.
You won't be; mainly because there are no plans to do any of the things you cited.
