Another great example of an English word you can't sound out. Just FYI, it's spelled "condescendingly". Quote:And especialy the different plural forms drive people mad. Myself included.

Revolution was an internal though on your part, this is from the old Arizona thread the quotes that is. "reasons we Americans want to own guns." but it doesn't matter. Because you're right it is silly to think America is really of the people, that the people's beliefs mean something, that our rights mean anything. There really is no America is there? It's all just a childish story of wishful thinking, no wonder the world does not respect us, were self deluded, self defeating, motivated by only personal gain. Like every other nation it's simply the rich, the poor, the fantasy of the poor. The only real freedom is the privacy of our own minds but at least there is that. There is no point in even talking about this subject then? America is a sham therefore arguing rights is of no consequence.

I agree with you it's nonsense, to actually believe in the founding fathers would be a delusion. Those word's and the constitution it's just there to make us feel happy. Like people could actually stand up against a tyrannical government let alone the strongest In the world. It's not like things would change people would be happier. We have to be realistic and just accept what is.

Quote:I agree with you it's nonsense, to actually believe in the founding fathers would be a delusion. That was not my point! My point was, that the founding fathers did mostly represent principles which are not right, such as slavery. Todays world is far more progressive than the 18th century. Plus, the founding fatheres werent infalible individuals. Quote:Those word's and the constitution it's just there to make us feel happy. No. The constitution provides the legislature nececery for a functioning republic. BUT! Amendments to the constitution were made to orginal document, showing clearly how it wasnt perfect and how progress was made through history. A constitution doesnt give a fuck about how happy you feel. It grants you right, which you can use or not use, one thing it is definatly not, is "a delusion". Quote:Like people could actually stand up against a tyrannical government let alone the strongest In the world. Happened throughout history, in tyrannical nations everywhere. And if you think the US is run by a "tyrannical goverment" deliver some facts to prove that, aswell as you could deliver some facts to who "the strongest in the world" are. Otherwise your just a conspiracy nut. Quote:It's not like things would change people would be happier. What things should change? What is the problem in the first place! What the fuck are you talking about!?!?!?!? Quote:We have to be realistic and just accept what is. Do you even know what "realistic" means? Realistic about what? Accept what? Would you finaly be specific and deliver some facts and stop preaching your crap!
I hate Alex Jones so so much. He's such a crazy fuck that needs to be kicked in the balls. He quotes all kinds of statistics in that 'debate' that are totally wrong. His whole world view is based on incorrect information. If all the stuff that he thinks exists actually did, he'd have been murdered so long ago. I think Piers invited him on just to make gun supporters look like nuts.

Yeah, because the second amendment is so much more important than the first amendment. /sarcasm I wonder if Alex Jones realizes just how insane he sounded on there? I mean, Piers attempted to ask a few questions and stay on topic but Jones is going off and talking about suicide pills. Really? You're blaming this on Lexapro and Ritalin? I think the whole 'debate' highlighted a lot of what's wrong in America: reasonable voices are being silenced by loud, obnoxious assholes. Personally, I don't know enough about Piers Morgan to say one way or the other whether I like him or not. I've already known about Alex Jones, though, and I haven't liked what I've heard from the paranoid lunatic. I still remember him saying some absurd things about estrogen in the food supply turning America gay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2w2TRxSLxw
