Barney Frank & the Health Care Idiots

Her question was so idiotic, it didn't merit an answer. Asking someone why they support a Nazi policy isn't a question that can be answered directly because it is a loaded question. It's like asking someone "Have you stopped beating your wife?" Both "Yes" and "No" answers give the impression that the person has in the past or is still beating his wife.

In this case, the only way to answer such a stupid question is to point out how stupid it is. It's not a Nazi policy, and if it is, then I guess that makes the UK and Canada Nazi countries, but I daresay they work a lot better at healthcare than the USA.

He could have just said "no...I do not support the Nazi party" or "maam I'm not going to argue and waste time on this nonsense." and then went on to the next question and ignored her other comments. I mean everyone knows her question is idiotic. He didn't have to point it out. That showed his ignorance. When you are a person who is elected to serve people you act like you are above ignorance and you don't drop to the same level of ignorance. Even if you want to call someone the biggest moron ever...you keep your composure and you act like you have some class.

I have no idea why people are calling Obama a Nazi and I agree it's incredibly insane. Someone has to be the bigger person...it should start with the politician. I think you are from Europe. I've seen some of the lawmakers in Europe when they meet. They actually argue and get angry. In America we don't do that or at least we don't do it in public. We argue and get our point across but we do it in a way that's a little more diplomatic.

I, for one, was jumping up and down clapping. Finally someone grew a pair and told these people how stupid they really are. That was great!

Something isn't quite right here. You say that responding by saying "I'm not going to waste time on this nonsense" is fine, but then go on to say that he didn't have to point out that the question is idiotic. Contradiction much?

Anyway, the point is, "everyone" doesn't know her question was idiotic. There were plenty of people there who thought it was an accurate question. Ignoring these people won't change their minds; getting them to think by showing them how idiotic their questions really are just might open up a few cracks.

He was talking to a voter and he is a politician. Politicians do NOT talk to the American people like that no matter how out of line they are. It's unprofessional. It doesn't surprise me because this Barney Frank guy is known for being an idiot. You can tell someone they are out of line without putting them down. He was rude to her and you don't do that in the position he's in. They are both just as ignorant as the other.

Those people aren't going to make a difference either way and it's not going to make them change their minds. They are die hard conservatives and it would be the same no matter what Democratic President we have. It happens every time. A Democrat comes in and the Republicans trash them. A Republican comes in and the Democrats have a field day too. They are just the same except they are on opposite sides of the spectrum. The Republican party has went to hell and the Democratic party is on it's way and good riddance to the both. We need more independents and Libertarians at the wheel.

I also thought that Barney should get the Medal of Freedom for telling that fucking idiot off. These people deserve no consideration at all. Stupid people never do.

I agree. Do those fucks ever give us consideration? Hell no. All they want to do is spout their shit and yell over the top of us so we're not heard. I applaud Barney Frank for having a big set of balls and telling that stupid bitch off. Maybe this will start a trend in Washington. No more PC in politics.

RE: Barney Frank & the Health Care Idiots
You have to be PC because you have to appeal to everyone. A politician cannot win with just the support of their party. A Republican politician has to have some of the Democratic vote or they will never make it and the same holds true for Democrats. You can't talk to your constituents like that. The whole idea of being a politician is to make as many people like you as possible and not to piss anyone off. The nature of the beast is to kiss butt and kiss it well. You are there to represent everyone in your state....not just the smart people. The independent party is growing. During this last election they meant more than in the previous one. Independents and Libertarians don't just swing one way. They aren't just ultra conservative or ultra liberal. They are in the middle of the road and more sensible. We had Bush and his cronies who were ultra Conservative and they screwed us so bad it's not even funny. Now Obama (who was better than Palin) might just be too liberal. We have to have a happy medium.

Why would someone who is rich and supposedly intelligent even tell off someone who was that stupid? They can't just roll their eyes and move on because they are obviously a better person in the first place? Everyone knows how stupid racist redneck conservatives are. They live in another reality and they want to get a rise out of someone and Barney Frank played into their game. If people would just ignore them then it would shut them up more. Just pretend they don't exist.

DLF,

Edmund Burke said: all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

One cannot cede the floor to morons. Ignorance of that magnitude needs to be opposed.
