muhammeds purpose

muhammeds purpose
question for muslims.
what was the purpose of muhammed? if he is a messenger of god guided by god then why did he not do a better job of it?

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Who wouldn't pick a illiterate epileptic pedophile as their messenger?

Cant that be asked about every single prophet there is?

I think you are simply trying to make Al-Fatihah come back and post his nonsence and drive him half mad.

But I cannot blame you, since it is a nice hobby Tongue

RE: muhammeds purpose
There is a wide error in the understanding of the "prophet" concept. also in understanding god.

Most people -when hearing about prophets and god & purpose- directly think about the biblical concept & image of adam & eve, and the secret comedy plots between god & satan, and how humans are punished, then prophets come to save them by ending up in a cross, and become half-gods. Weird stuff.

The truth is-though-, to answer your question, needs a little bit of an extra explanation of what a prophet is, and why most prophets didn't do any big things in the world.

Our existence on this earth is a mere test. Epic, apocalyptical exam by god to all humanity, after what adam & eve did in heaven. Simple true story from Islam POV :

god told adam & eve not to eat from a certain tree in heaven.
satan hated adam & eve.
satan went to adam & eve.
satan seduced.
adam & eve (both) accepted, they ate from the tree.
god cursed satan, and forgave humans for their sin, but sent them to earth as a final exam, with satan, to see who will still believe in god, and who would follow satan's way (one of the most brutal ways, is knowing for sure that god exists, but yet you choose not to worship).

what people fail to understand in Islam, is that democracy is upon humanity since their creation.
Which means the following :

if a prophet called the people, and the people didn't listen, the prophet will not be able to do anything else. the people will stay non-believers. God will not force them to worship him, yet god let them choose.

so, a prophet is not about victory or defeat, a prophet is not about a shiny army of angeles led by him-the prophet-, like the image of jesus in christianity..

the prophet is a man, just like me or you, he doesn't have super powers.. and in some cases : he gets beaten up, slashed, and even killed in action.

the prophet is a mere "wake up call". it's up the humans around him to listen, follow.

Response: Muhammad achieved what neither you nor anyone can do. So what better of a job is there to do, especially since you can't do it?

Response: Inspired enough followers to conquer a nation, and become a nation themselves, simply by preaching the Qur'an.

And what makes that so special?

If you would call the conquering of nations the result of devinity, then the spanish conquest of the americas and the massacring of it`s natives is proof of the catholic churches devinity,
or the mongol empire would be proof of their faiths devinity.

And the Islamic world is not united but devided in various nations.

Changed the practices of 7th century Arabia and provided Men, Women, Children and orphans with rights.

Changed burying daughter alive into respecting and honoring having a daughter and treating her equal to a son.

Response: The islamic world was not divided under Muhammad, and the spanish did not unite for conquest by being inspired by words that went against their liking. So there is nothing unique. Muhammad inspired enough followers to conquer a nation by using speech that went against the likes of the masses, thus performing a miracle.
