Perhaps you give me entirely too much credit. For the record, I blatantly violated said new rule within weeks of its enactment. And besides, what was 'not nice', rude or insulting about what I said? I was simply informing him that there was no more room at the inn. I even wished him a nice day — how much nicer do I need to be? Do I need to get down on my knees and kiss.... oh wait, let's skip that image for a moment. In hindsight, my only regret was that I didn't say, "Have a super day!" as that would have been more in tune with the HR-speak I was using. You wound me! You wound me, sir! To the core! To the very core of my being, where baby bunny rabbits and unicorns are regularly seen to be frolicking amongst the heather. Have you no shame?

Honestly, there's just no pleasing some people.
