What did it?

RE: What did it?
I'll repeat what most everyone else said in hopes that if it said enough times you may get it.

Everyone is born without belief in gods. It requires indoctrination in order o start believing in a god.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

All human cultures have had various different religions, but you'll notice they're all somewhat different and they believed in various different gods as well. So it would seem to be a manmade creation. I don't really see any way out of that. But I'm fine with people believing in it, I like the cultural stuff and the art. If there is something like a God I doubt it has anything directly to do with our religions. But take a butchers at this.

The universe appears to have a similar structure to a brain, so it could be one composite conscious being of which we form a part. That seems like something that could work. You can't really make much of a religion out of it though.

I don't beat my wife. Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids. ROFLOL

He was pointing out the flaws in your question.

Here, I'll spell it out for you. Your question was loaded, and it was a false dichotomy.

Just like the question about beating your wife has the same flaws.

Yeah, but what made you stop?

Once you recognize that my question was a loaded one, perhaps you'll recognize that yours was too

Then why didn't you just ask it that way?

Why the need for making it a loaded question?

If you asked that way, you would have probably received more interesting answers. You also would not have come off like an asshat.

Okay, you're right. I'm sorry. What led you to atheism?

The fact that they provide no concrete evidence at all to substantiate any of their claims being a big one but there are various other reasons as well.

Some information about God's existance

Independent Non Christian sources on the existence of Christ Jesus
1 -Cornelius Tacitus Non Christian (56 – 117AD) historian and Roman Senator in a passage ‘Annales, book 15, verse 44’ refers to Christ, Pontius Pilate and a mass executions of Christians. General scholarly view considers Tacitus to be authentic

2 – Flavius Joseph a Romano-Jewish historian (37-100AD) Book 20 Chapter 9,1 "the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ, whose name was James" Modern scholarship has almost universally acknowledged the authenticity of the reference

- How does one explain what happened in Portugal at Fatima in 1917, “The Miracle of the Sun” which was witnessed by an estimated 30,000 – 70,000 people? Witnesses included Masons, Communists, Atheists and Christians.

- How to explain the miraculous healing of people in Lourdes France and in Bosnia-Hercegovina in a place called Medjugorje where 100,000’s of people go annually.

- How to explain the wounds on the hands, feet and side of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina
(1887 – 1968) which were those of Jesus & his ability to read people and physically heal people all in the name of Jesus.

This is just a small sample of unnatural phenomena all attributed to God.
