Gambling

RE: Gambling
When I play poker online it is only with play money, not real money. I do not gamble per say, though I have nothing against it. It's just most of the gambling games don't appeal to me. I cannot for the life of me imagine what the attraction is of slot machines, or roulette (Russian or otherwise), or craps, or most card games.

I like poker a lot, because you are not competing against the bank who has his odds stacked hugely in its favor. You are playing against the other people at the table, and even with rubbish cards you can still win.

I also play in the bank lottery, but I don't expect to win anything, I just agreed to it so the charities that get money from this lottery get some extra cash (separate from the regular donations). I never even watch the drawing of the numbers to be honest.
Best regards,
Leo van Miert

Congratz mate. I won £8.50 in the euro-lotto once. Big Grin

I dont think that gambling is a sin or anything like that. If you can control yourself and if you know when to stop then it's perfectly fine I think. I dont really like gambling too much but thats just personal choice. Though I AM against it if one spends all of his resources and time on it...

And I really hate those Christians that pray that they would win the lottery. Big Grin

IFfJC,
Why do you hate other christians who pray to win the lottery?
HuhA man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?

Heh, i certainly can't force myself to stop. I know when to stop, but i can't make myself do it Smile Tis one of my personal flaws. Wonderful example? I played Civilization Revolution until 2:30, when i had to get up at 4:30 to get ready for school (had to finish a school project i procrastinated for a week on.) Smile

It was almost like playing my favorite game of all time (Master of Orion) again. Damn i miss that game : /
