I'd be all for changing the presidential election to go by popular vote instead of messing with the absurd electoral college system (which gets most of the nation virtually ignored). But that's just the problem here: The GOP doesn't want to try to fix their own internal problems as much as they want to change the rules of the game to give themselves an advantage.
