Well, it was a decade of abortions like the X Factor.

I guess the rise of the mobile phone really hit hard.

A spectacular decade for Manga. Although, the past few decades have been great for it anyway. But in terms of international availability, it has improved massively.

Hmm, a lot of my favourite musicians died within those 10 years... that is something that will stick within my mind.

I can't really think of what the stereotypes for that decade might be though.

That sort of hairstyle, or one very like it, was then and still is quite common round here as well, where I believe it's known as the Chav Scrapeback. The hair is bundled up as tightly and as far from its natural position as it's possible to get with a cheap elasticated hairband and then the resulting topknot fettered with varicoloured scrunchies, the number of which denotes rank and/or status.
