If God is created by someone then this something is God. And we can continue this endlessly. That's why it being said in Vedas that God is cause of himself, only Supreme Lord, Godhead breaks rule of cause and effect. Its paradox. Infinity vs selfcause.
So the two options are: an infinite regress of non-gods, since only the last, uncreated being can be called god, and there isn't one. OR: A special pleading argument that invalidates your other argument about cause and effect. So, to be clear, the only two possibilities you're representing are an irrelevancy and a contradiction? Okay, cool.
I'd like to offer a third option that's neither self refuting nor logically inconsistent: we don't know the answer yet, but it's entirely possible that it's down to naturalistic causes. Crazy, no?
