Is psychiatry evil?

That's not how it works, dumbass. You can't make baseless assertions, and then just say, "prove me wrong!"

I think we have sufficiently demonstrated that not only do you not have proof of your assertion that psychiatry is evil, you don't even know the first thing about it, despite your claim to study it.

I wash my hands of you and this thread.

I don't believe you. Some PR firm most likely has been hired, to ascertain how psychiatry can be "relatable".

Look, humans can be and are corrupt. Psychiatry was invented in the 19th century on a deliberately devised attempt to control the masses and "keep people in their place". It's like how they thought back then that women who masturbated were "ill". It merely reflects personal biases, and not firm science.

It's not an issue of belief. That's not how the DSMV (4..had to check, kind of figured it'd be 5 by now...but no, it still holds, it's still 4) was compiled. It's not a PR piece, it's a fucking diagnostic manual....that's what the D and M stand for......the S, by the way, Statistics.....you know, the aggregate and mean I keep mentioning?

People and organizations can be corrupt, and?

"Back then" you heard alot about phlogiston, and?

Psychiatry remains a science, despite your personal bias. Whether or not any given practitioner adheres to the science would be another issue (but if they didn't, they'd be running counter to their own professional ethics organizations declarations and requirements).

So I'm saying that the issue of psychiatry is still rooted in the 19th century thinking.

It's a tool to punish, not a tool to help or better people.

THESE MEDICATIONS ARE SUCH A PUNISHMENT I CANNOT BEAR IT.

Except that it's not (still rooted) - notice that you were forced to default to what "used to be" an illness...and it isn't (a tool to punish) in that the metrics of success are nothing more and nothing less than the ability of the patient to function and interact with society (even if the goal is currently not achievable).

Where do you get all of this from, btw?

Funny, someone who thinks morals are not necessary describing something as evil.

lol.. I like your subjective reasoning. What denotes "functioning in society"? This is pure relativistic thinking.

The world would be better off without psychiatry. just admit it, and be done. The world should admit it.

People are contradictory. Pull your finger from your backside and accept reality for what it is.
