F YEAH!!!
Wasn't a joke All of your 'problems' are because you disagree with others, and are unwilling to tolerate difference. End of.
Orgies promote toleration of differences, and promote sympathy with the stances which others might take. All and all, and without becoming a hive mind: orgies are the answer.

Just sayin'.
Well, the devices exist, obviously.

Oh my bad, I should have been more specific. On Earth. In the possession of humans. Demonstrated to function.

Getting there... you're sooooo close!
You've got this, just a little bit more, dear

'We'? I'm certainly not a part of your suicide-cult!

Law would have it so licenses and vehicles would be a lot more difficult to get, as well as vehicles only seeing use on needed out-of-town trips. There's no reason every citizen needs to own their own vehicle and there's no reason vehicles should be used (abused) to travel within the same town.
So not de-industrialize, rather invest in public forms of transportation and infrastructure for such (rail lines, bus lanes, etc.), right?

That guy who asked questions Wrote: Sal, very good concept I think, but I do have one suggestion. Instead of funding nuclear fission why don't we fund more free-energy alternatives. There have been several prototypes of self-sustaining electromagnetic motors capable of producing 40x the energy it consumes. If we mass-produced devices like this it would be a huge benefit to all society because it seems that the places that suffer the most are mostly due to lack of energy and water. I think self-sustaining free-energy is a much better alternative than nuclear energy which has a possible horrific potential, whereas clean free energy has no negative effects. Most of the alternatives are not feasible to the energy requirements we have today, this includes solar panels which are too expensive to build and maintain, currently, but I wouldn't rule that out. Hydro-electric dams have for the most part failed and done a shitload of ecological damage. Wind turbines are too unreliable. Ocean current, IDK enough about.
Fission plants are not limited to uranium, we might very well make thorium power plants as well. India has researched this a lot, since they got a buttload of it.
I also think we should start decentralizing power more. Get people to invest into their own power usage, instead of relying on a grid.

I'm not trying to be asinine I just really don't understand the reasoning behind this. Maybe I'd understand better if I knew what area you live in, because vehicles are crucial where I live and so is productivity. When you live in the south and a person's job is more than likely about 20-50 miles away from the person's home it would be very hard to get to work, but I don't fully understand your concept at the moment. Maybe if you elaborate I can see the positive outcome. Getting rid of cars/de-industrialisation is not a step back, if you're looking to preserve the planet you live on, that is.
You wouldn't need to rely on a vehicle to get to work because you wouldn't be working that far from where you live in a de-industrialised world. Also, there's buses and bikes. Not every person needs their own vehicle. Maybe a couple vehicles per neighborhood and people just carpool.
Your mind has been too warped by society.

I agree, more orgies would improve society, as well as more masturbation, and more sex in general. Safe sex, mind you.
In addition, eliminating poverty would make a tremendous difference. It's possible, it's just that people aren't dedicated to the cause like they ought to be.
After that, I would say we need to work on equality for all people. Equal pay for men and women and anti-discrimination laws that included gender identity and sexual orientation would be a start. Obviously, there are several issues in our society that prevent equality which I could discuss.
And of course, the environment is important. Everyone should have solar panels on their roofs. (At least everyone who gets direct sunlight.) Society is built for car travel so I don't really see a way around that, but we could implement a national rideshare database that could make it easier for people to carpool to places they often go, such as work and school. People who offer their cars and driving for carpooling could get minor tax credits or something like that. That combined with mass transit that actually worked could eliminate the need for everyone to own their own car.

We should get all nations to work with each other and to talk to one another, they should get together at least once a year to discuss the problems on earth and try to find solutions that way. We should call it something like the United Nations maybe or something similar, so that we can all make the world a better, more united place. Oh shit, wait, no, no, NOOOOO
