How do you 2 feel about the use of insects by humans for food and for medical reasons?
Well, Forbi thinks killing silkworms is "sadistic cruelty"! Tongue

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

well most textile products of today are made out of plastic or cotton, so silkworms are becoming irrelevant anyway.

My concern is more about the use of maggots in medicin for antiseptics, the use of honey by bees, the use of bees and bumblebees in plantations and green houses for polenation aswell as the general consume of insects which is very widespread in asia and africa.

Look, I'm sorry this is getting out of hand now and I'm also truly sorry you had such a traumatic experience with a vegan diet, I really am, and it frightens me to the core to think that I could be forced to give this up because of such terrible consequences, so I don't blame you for getting a little personal here. This topic has the tendency to wind people up...

Not really. Ignorance and stupidity get me rather forcefully vocal. No one is trying to "Force you to give up a lifestyle choice" of you own making. What people are trying to do is make you realise that the position of "Sanctimonious Pontification" that is groundless whilst propounding your elitist (1st World) lifestyle choice does nothing to support your choice and you are no more indoctrinated than those you attempt to vilify.

Fewer happy animals would be preferable over millions of mutilated ones.

Ahh well there's the rub. ARE these animals "Happy" to be eaten from the inside out by fly maggots?

Not true Germans. Carpet is usually synthetic or wool. In fact it all really depends on what area of textiles you're looking at. Sure in some areas one fibre dominates, and in other areas other fibres dominate.

If I was on the opposite side of this argument I'd be worried to have Christians like yourself on my side, would make me really question my position. Glad you're on the other side, stay there and die as you were born, smart as a piece of plywood and with about as much independent thought Smile

Have you seen a lessening of Bees in your area of the globe TGAC? We are noticing it here and of course IF the Bees die no vegetation and vegans/ vegetarians die.

No, of course not, and I'm not arguing to produce these overbred animals and then leave them alone, just don't produce them in the first place. The question really is: Do you really want to support an industry that produces millions of these overbred animals who are not able to survive unless we mutilate them? The best answer is and remains: No, just don't buy it until they get their act together.
