I bet alot of europeans here have heard of various different scemes used by asylum seekers to gain asylum.
Just read in todays paper how a group of 60 Iranians came to Austria, and shortly before requesting asylum - every single one of them "converted" to catholicism.
In Iran, deconverting from Islam is punishable by death - Austria doesnt extradite to countries in which the people extradited face the death penalty and certainly not on such charges.
I kind of admired this when I read it in todays papers.
You got to admit that it was a wity way of outsmarting the authorities.
