Smart Republicans.... there are a few.
The other day Brent Scowcraft announced that he was voting for Clinton.

Quote:Brent Scowcroft, who served as National Security Adviser to Presidents George H. W. Bush and Gerald Ford, and who worked in the White House of Presidents Richard Nixon and George W. Bush, said Clinton "brings truly unique experience and perspective to the White House."

Today it is Dubya's Treasury Secretary:

Quote:“When it comes to the presidency, I will not vote for Donald Trump,” Paulson, who was chief executive of Goldman Sachs before becoming Treasury chief under Republican President George W. Bush, wrote in an opinion piece in the Washington Post.
“I’ll be voting for Hillary Clinton, with the hope that she can bring Americans together to do the things necessary to strengthen our economy, our environment and our place in the world,” he said.
Paulson accused Trump, who has touted his business acumen as a real estate developer during his campaign, of taking “imprudent risk” and then disavowing his debts when ventures fail.

I thought these people who put country before party deserve a shout out for disavowing the orange turd.  i'm sure there will be more to come.

Brent is an old Mormon. His judgment is suspect at best.

Honestly refreshing. I wish those who claim to be for Sanders would show as much sense.

No, what it shows that the United States is getting closer and closer to being a one party state. Many of the neo-conservatives are flocking to Hilary because on war and foreign policy she a neo-conservative. She loves war; al-Saud, a big Clinton Foundation donor, wants Bashir al-Assad and conveniently Hilary wants to expand war in Syria. She is only better than the "average" Republican in some areas.

But as she changes her tone depending on the group of people she is talking to we don't really know what she stands for. She allows polls and big money donors to dictate her policy positions. She's not a leader.

Does a Hillary endorsement from a former chief executive of Goldman Sachs leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth ??

Like maybe he needed to STFU instead of that. I'm not sure that endorsement wasn't in fact a poe endorsement for Trump.

(and Trump might be a poe candidate)

Keep it coming.  Dissension in the ranks is what we want!

I'm curious to see how the EC map will look this election. People are predicting that states that usually go blue/red may flip this time around. It'll be interesting to see, though I'm willing to bet my own state still goes red -_-

IANMTU, George Will is one of an extremely small number of people who actually got along with Nancy Reagan.

Always made him suspect in my eyes.
