How are you today?

I used to get those too. I would get back to back rolling anxiety attacks that would last for around six hours. Afterwards I would feel exhausted but I wouldn't be able to sleep well at all that night.

But I figured out how to stop them. I can feel an uneasiness as it gradually is about to build up on me.

I just day dream about sex and it derails my mind. If it's true that an anxiety attack is the misfiring of your fight or flight response, maybe you have to counter it with another basic response.

I started doing that and I haven't had one since 2011.

That is a funny little trick. I'm glad it works for you. I might try it. Although if a certain family member of mine, sitting in the next room, doesn't stop talking about me like I can't here him.... He might be the one with a panic attack. Angry

RE: How are you today?
I just found out my body can't metabolize folic acid very well. That and vitamin d. The former being a genetic predisposition to depression, the latter being linked with autoimmune diseases. Makes sense. So now I take both in supplements.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

I'm glad your taking supplements. I hope that can kick any health issues in the butt!

Yeahh you know I'd much rather have been taking supplements growing up rather than having my body hit an all stop then having doctors have to hit an all go. With cytoxan. Mustard seed derivitive, that is.

Yea I could understand that. Daily vitamins are important. I think having young woman especially, take vitamins is important.
I had a nutrition teacher who was very anti-daily vitamins. He was a Nut Job. He was thought that cereal was enough of a multi-vitamin. He was super against any kind of alternative medicine(I don't mean crystals. I mean like researching different plants or Aloe on a sunburn.) If you asked him a question, he said " I don't know." Then why the fudge are you teaching a nutrition class!

Panic attacks are old hat for me, the flashbacks are a more recent development. I'm glad you found a way of preventing your anxiety attacks Smile I hope I figure out something similar. The sex thing probably won't work for me.

Festive, I feel for you. Flashbacks are hard. Do you ever listen to calming music and breathe slowly and deeply? I do that. It helps the attack part, but I literally have to visualize myself in a forest by a waterfall and focus all my attentions on that or introduce coping mechanisms like taking a hot shower or doing dishes, to bring the anxiety levels down point by point. Kids however, seem to have a way of bringing it up point by point so I'd say take them to the park and let them play their hearts out while you take some quiet mommy time. But, I'm not a mommy just a stay at home Auntie. Feel betterSmile

Wish I coulda been a fly on the wall for that SavannahWink
