Also, hello there twinSmile How you doing? I can't sleep. Fuck my life.

Yeah... I took the stuff (gabapentin) with my breakfast this morning, and I'm still loopy as fuck 6 hours later. Reduced the dosage (1500mg to 1200mg) today, I think I'm gonna have to do it again tomorrow.

It seems to be helping, but I can't really tell if it's helping the pain, or if I'm just so loopy that I don't give a fuck.

Wheeeeeeee!!!!!!!

RE: How are you today?
This one wasn't as bad as others I've had. This was more like a movie I was forced to watch. It was relatively short, panic attack and flashback, the entire episode only lasted about 10-15 minutes, but it still wiped me out and I'm tired. I've had the all out, smells, my body feels small, it's not a movie, it's happening NOW type too. This was far more manageable.
It was more the shock of it. Who'd think a cat catching a bird would trigger that? That's what I find so unsettling is they often come out of seemingly benign situations, like today. And I can't control them... I can only ride them out. I've tried preventing them, but that left me almost completely isolated in an attempt to not be triggered.

Bird screamed, I chased the cat until he finally let the poor thing go, scooped up the bird and took it outside. I think it's leg was broken Sad but it flew off... Triggered a panic attack and flashback... Now I have about 10 minutes to pull myself together and go get the kids... Just needed to vent.

Hey, I used to get bad panic attacks, still do from time to time. As I recall, we've got the same four letter affliction.

I'm glad you were able to pull it together - and kudos for whatever you did to recognize that you needed to take care of yourself.

I've never experienced a flash back. I can only imagine how awful it would be. You have my deepest sympathies.

Lol oh shit. Gabapentin.. yeah I remember taking that. Switched to Lyrica and haven't looked backWink I'd suggest you compare the two, ones way better in terms of side effects. Now I'm on nothing, because well who wants to be fucked up all the time? I choose pain, so long as its bearable. For now, it is. Sorry to hear you are hurtingSad
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

I did take Lyrica. At the dosage I was prescribed, it was almost $800 a month. Can't afford it - though I might have to find a way if I want to keep working. Which I do.

I know of both flashback types you speak and neither is tolerable in the least. I thinkyou did the best thing you could do, venting.

PTSD is loads of fun (sarcasm). Something triggers you, and emotionally speaking, you're reliving the past trauma (whatever it was). At times, I get triggered by the oddest things. Sounds to me that festive is pretty much in the same boat.

Fun fun fun. Not.

Fortunately you can learn to recognize it and deal with it, so it doesn't run your life. Ain't easy though.
