No flooring down or trim up yet, so there's relatively little prep work. The contractors are really expensive for painting, so I'm doing it myself. Hubby is going to take care of the boys this weekend and I'm going to work. I like painting Two coats of primer and two coats of paint is a tall order for a weekend's work, but it can and shall be done!
Good luck! I enjoy painting too. I'd help, but I don't think we're close. What color are you painting it?
I'm painting two rooms... The basement is going to be a light orangey-yellow called "Torchlight." And the adjacent room is going to be a light, dusky purple called, "Inuendo." I can't stand white walls, they drive me crazy!!

That sounds great! I would do most my house in pink, but the hubby said no.

My hubby's not color blind, but he totally doesn't care in the slightest about colors. When I moved in with him, his apartment was 7 different shades of white, a bluish-white, a pinkish-white, yellowish-white, etc. He don't care about the colors as long as I'm willing to do the work

haha mine is not that way at all. He is very picky about everything. He has to research everything before we buy it. Things like wall paints, he has look at it for a long time to see if he likes it enough.

Well, the prep work took longer than I expected I had hoped to get a first coat on last night, but the primer only needs an hour of dry time between coats. I'm going to go knock it out! Hopefully, I can get the two coats of primer on, as well as a first coat of paint today. We'll see how long cutting in takes...

I slept so well last night.
I needed it after the night before, when I went to sleep sometime between 2am and 3am and woke up at 5:25am after a horrific nightmare and was too scared to go back to sleep. Lol

I woke up with a pronounced tickle in my throat. Seems I have a respiratory infection. That might alter my plans to take an hour busride to that Japanese market. But maybe I'll go windowshopping here in Hillcrest a bit.

I'm sorry you had a nightmare, I'm glad you slept well, though. I have nightmares all the time.

It seems like every woman I've ever had a relationship with had nightmares that would greatly trouble them long after they woke up.
I rarely have nightmares, even more rarely do I have a scary nightmare (usually involving me ruining my life like going to prison forever or something) but when I wake up I just feel brief relief and then I'm good to go after around 5 seconds.
Why do women have nightmares that leave them disturbed?
Everything I needed to know about life I learned on Dagobah.

Why do women have nightmares that leave them disturbed? It don't know about anyone else, but I blame it on my overactive imagination for making shit feel far too real.
If anyone is wondering, I dreamt I was a prisoner at the Tower Of London, except it looked nothing like the tower of London, and exactly like the Erudite Headquarters from Insurgent (in the weird way dreams have of doing that) and I was waiting to be executed and there were these people saying really horrible things to me, and it stank in there, too.
That's what happens to my brain when I wander around outside the Tower Of London listening to Veronica Roth books on Audible of an afternoon.
