Music for translation

So, I'm going to be translating some songs (English -> Auslan). I've done a few songs in sign before, and when looking for a song to translate you need to keep a few things in mind, as not all songs lend themselves to a good translation. I was wondering if you guys could briefly think about this, see if any songs you know might fit these criteria, and if anything eventuates I'll post it here.

Genre: I do have a reputation to maintain, so no sappy love ballads, and no screamo-deathmetal please. Something I can sing and still live with myself afterwards.

Rating: It doesn't have to be squeaky clean, but nothing R18+ yeah?

Instrumental solo*: If the song has a 5 minute guitar solo or something in the middle of it, that can pose a problem, but only if there is a verse after the solo. If it's just the chorus again, that's fine. Instrumental at the start is fine. Not the biggest concern, it's a want not a need.

Literal: The song should fall in the middle or towards the more literal end of the spectrum. If after listening to it you think to yourself "wow, what on earth were they singing about, nothing about that made sense" it mightn't be the best choice.

Pace: The song can be slow, normal or quick, just not at the very extremes, not very slow, or very quick.
