Enlightening Videos on Dimensions

Enlightening Videos on Dimensions
These videos explain dimensions, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and how to imagine 4th, 5th and so on.

If you're having difficulties understanding them, then watch them again, with an open mind.

FEEL FREE to get lost in that part of youtube made by 10thdim and related videos!

Anybody here who understands Einstien's Special & General Relativity, and perhaps show me a video/explain if it is consistent with the above videos, because i dont think it is, which could mean the videos are wrong(the part where he calls the 4th an 5th dimensions as a part of time).

No.

There is a reason that the word imagining is used in the title. If one must imagine that it is real, then there is no real proof that it does exist.

Everything is imagined. Lines, and equations are tools.

Imagining is easier with an open mind, compared to a biased mind. For example, movies made on books.

And nothing is completely true, feel free to ignore.

I've seen those before and I somehow understood the concept. Pretty interesting (though theoretical) stuff Smile
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I don't think the 4th dimension is time. I struggled a lot with the concept when i took intro astronomy in my first year, never really understood what 4th dimension is. My prof said just like a 2 dimension person would not understand 3rd, we won't conceptually understand 4th. I suck at physics but quite sure it isn't time ... because if it was i would've understood it immediately.

I do plan to reread my textbooks some time this summer though.

In mathematics, you can have as many dimensions as you like, and even all the mathematical operations used in the everyday three dimensions can be used with all of them. Just because it exists in the language of mathematics, does not mean it actually exists in real life. Only that it can be described.

There are different types of dimensions, the spacial and the temporal. There is one known temporal dimension and 3 known spacial dimensions. How they interact is called space-time and the theory of relativity describes those relations. Time is not the 4th dimension. It is a separate entity.

It is still being worked out in physics where the dimensions came from. Did space come first or did time, or is time only an aspect of space itself?

The Traflamadorians are laughing at our puny attempts to understand the spatial-temporal conditions of the other dimensions.

I like how in this video, quantum probabilities are actually different points in the supposed temporal fifth dimension. Interesting stuff, yet purely hypothetical.
