I think this is a comment on ambition-- specifically, that through your efforts, you can create something new in the world and leave your mark on it. The song is basically saying this attitude is arrogant-- it's in the nature of the universe for things to be made, seen, done, etc. so why pretend I'm special for any of these "achievements"?

I'm not sure about the love part, though. Not a big fan of love.

I had a cab driver once who went on an anti-Beatles rant (after having to stop by Abbey Road Studios while a bunch of fucking tourists had their pictures taken in the middle of the road) that made him miss my road so we had to go round the long way, thus costing me more money. I was not happy. Anyway, his problem was that their songs are mostly one line repeated a million times. I love The Beatles, but he was right. I can see that clearly enough in this thread.
