Zimmerman verdict: Not Guilty.
RE: Zimmerman verdict: Not Guilty.
I don't even see what would make you think Zimmerman actually stopped trying to follow Trayvon when the dispatcher asked him not to follow him. Sounds like he's still following him to me?

2) Why would Zimmerman, who saw Treyvon running (and according to this video, saw him running down the path), run past the path and go out onto the other road?

3) Why does the video favour the testimony of Treyvon's friend, who lied in court, over the testimony of Zimmerman to the police?

1) He didn't want to lead a potential crazy person to his family home?

2) He suspected that he was heading towards the exit of the gated community (he said that, go listen).

3) The video takes into account ALL of the evidence, not just the evidence that you want to take into account.

He gets out of his car and can be heard walking for a while before the dispatcher says they don't need him to follow Treyvon (they never asked him not to). Zimmerman said "OK". Either one of three things happened:

1) Zimmerman continued following Treyvon, which explains why it sounds like he is still walking outside.
2) Zimmerman stops dead in his tracks (unlikely, as his footsteps can still be heard, but it also sounded very windy).
3) Zimmerman stops pursuing Treyvon but doesn't stop walking (he either changes direction back towards his car, or as he says, he tries to find out which house number he is near to.

All three options could account for the sounds heard after Zimmerman says "OK". Option 2 is the most unlikely, because you can still hear footsteps. In my view, whether Zimmerman stopped walking or not isn't the issue here. It's whether he stopped pursuing Treyvon, which you cannot tell from the audio (unless you have a method for distinguishing the sound of footsteps following someone and the sound of footsteps not following someone). Instead, you have to look at the other evidence, part of which is his testimony to police, another part is the location of the attack.

Not sure why you keep trying to make this into a conspiracy; it's really not one. I don't care to debate with you any more if you aren't going to be civil.

Look at the time lapse between "OK" and the fight. He was so very close to his truck. He didn't walk back to it. If he had, he would have been there within seconds. If he had, he wouldn't have been at the location of the fight. Why would he be looking for an address number, at a location where Martin definitely wasn't at? Which was so very close to his truck. Which he could have gotten back to.

He'd told the operator the location of his truck, already. He later asked the police to ring him on his mobile so that he could meet up with them. Why? Because he wasn't anywhere that he could direct them to - because he was still walking.

Everything... all of this... without question... points to Zimmerman walking some distance away from his truck in pursuit of Martin. All of it is contrary to the walk-through that he did with the police, explaining his supposed movements. The only way that you could come to any other conclusion is if you're determined to reject far too much of the evidence.

I'm using the conspiracy theory insertions because:-
1) You're prone to such things (as you've admitted)
2) The level of naivety that you're demonstrating is really quite remarkable.

Funny how the jury agrees with Tiberius though. Think they might know more about the facts than us?

I don't see much that is funny about Martin's death... and juries never get things wrong. Right?

Without Trayvon, we wouldn't be talking about Zimmerman.

If not for Zimmerman's mom we wouldn't be talking about Zimmerman.

The trial was about Zimmerman. Whether he was guilty or not guilty of commiting an illegal act. Trayvon was already mouldering in the ground before the trial even started.

1) No, I'm not prone to these things. Believing one conspiracy theory at one point in my life (and when I was also very young) does not mean I'm somehow prone to believing in more of them. That was a time before I learned critical thinking; before I learned about skepticism; before I learned about the scientific method and logic.

2) Ditto. You've pulled so many things out of your ass in this thread. I've presented the actual facts which are all verifiable (and FYI, "facts" are not YouTube videos made by people with agendas). In this thread I've seen people claim that Zimmerman was taller and more muscular, that he didn't have a scratch on him, that he directly violated a police order, that he "stalked" Treyvon. None of these things are even remotely true, and it takes only a few seconds of searching on Google for the actual evidence to see that. People like you with agendas other than finding the truth don't seem to like doing that though.

My goodness, that video uses so many fallacies I don't think I can list them all. I loved the photo of Zimmerman all cleaned up with the caption "Not 1 drop of blood" though. You've convinced me; that is clearly some unbiased and balanced journalism there. </sarcasm>
