The Bosnian Serb Aleksandar Cvetković stands acused of being part of a commando which murdered a thousand people during the Srebrenica massacre in 1995, the worst crime against humanity on European soil since WW 2, at which a total of 8 000 muslim Bosnians were murdered. The massacre was part of the Serbian campain of ethnic cleansing with the goal of destroying the muslim Bosnian population and culture in the Balkan. He will stand trial in the Hague where several other perpetrators of crimes during the Balkan wars have already been trialed and sentenced. This is also the first ever occasion in which Israel is willing to extradite one of it`s own citizens (the accused emigrated to Israel after the war and received citizenship).
Dispite the international courts coming under alot of critizism, it clearly seems that they are taking the task of doing the job right in this case.
