@ Sae: He can do anything but has chosen to make this physically coherent universe. He is consistent and inconsistency would bring about chaos. His cohesive logic is what we can know from this fact. In his coherant universe we have the power to do as it dictates. Science can discover what the physical universe is capable of and fulfill it's potential, working within the created framework.

So, turning the sky red, and plainly vocally stating that he (YWHW?) was God... and clarifying which god he was... this would cause chaos? He is the creator, and if he goofed up (He most certainly did if scripture is to be taken as more than fiction): then he should fix the goof up. His has been a reign of half-measures... he seems very indecisive.

His message is inconsistent... from beginning to the end: his message changes. An especially massive change occurs in the form of the New Testament.

Jebus is God's new plan for people to reach him. It's a new facet of God. An addition to the definition of God. It's not the same God, if it were then there would be no difference between Jews and Christians.
