Ooh, it's changed a lot since I last used it. Look at all those wonderful tools!
I haven't updated my copy of Gimp lately, mainly because it currently does everything I need it to do. The last time I did do an upgrade, though, it blew me away. At one time, to run it on Windows I had to download some extra back-end stuff like the GTK toolkit, but all the recent versions have been integrated into a much more solid installer. Having the ability to switch from the gazillion floating windows to more of a Photoshop-style window was great.

Got up early and drove to the shop where I get my winter/regular tires swapped out. Stopped back at the house to put the warm-season tires into the garage, then went for breakfast and then a bit of shopping.
When I got home, I was tired and
freezing, so I turned on the electric blanket on the bed and had a nap for nearly three hours.
Cut some 2x4 pieces I needed for my study renovation. Am now using the enclosed front porch as a cutting area, as the back yard is snowed over till April or so -- on the porch it's a lot easier to control and clean up sawdust than down in the basement, and when my hands get cold I just pop back inside for a couple of minutes.
Leaving for the symphony in about an hour.
