She brought a guy home. He saw how untidy she was with her clothes and undies thrown everywhere, so he left

Right. THAT'S what blokes notice. 'Gosh, I really want to shag this gal, but there's laundry EVERYWHERE. I'm out'.

Try ‘em sliced and baked with citrus. Recipe on request.

Yes, that would be nice. Shoot me a recipe. I've not made sweet potatoes. My sister serves them at holidays and Meals-On-Wheels includes them in some of the meals. I have an idea or two, involving an air fryer on one hand, and baking them halved and split with copious amounts of brown sugar, but I'll need to do some research. A funny thing happened. I used up the last of my bread last night, so I hopped a bus to Aldi's to buy bread this morning. There at Aldi's they had sweet potatoes for $0.49/lb. Aldi's produce can be sketchy, but I assume the quality is comparable. I grabbed three largish ones, and I'll do the same at Cub on my way home tomorrow so that I can compare quality.

Wash and peel your taters. Slice them about 1/4 thick, more or less. Cover the bottom of a lightly greased baking dish with a layer of taters and either drizzle with honey or sprinkle with turbinado sugar. Then slice some oranges (I use blood oranges) as thin as you possibly can. Really thin. Put a layer of orange slices on top of the spuds, then more honey or sugar. Repeat until you get to the top of the dish. Bake on medium (180/350) until the spuds are fork tender.
Boru
edit: DON'T peel the oranges.

Thank you for the recipe. Probably not this time, but I'll add it to my recipe book. Which is better, honey or turbinado sugar?
