Galactic Common Sense: The Rebel Question


First off I want to express my love to my wife who is currently serving loyally to the Empire with the Sienar Fleet shipyards on the Sienar Fleet development team, you make me proud. And to my brother who died on the Death Star at the Battle of Yavin thanks for fighting to the end. I also want to express my gratitude Lord Vader for allowing me to serve on the CVS 1401 Avenger,

As you all know we had a tragedy hit us no more than 1 ABY ago as we are now calling it. The Death Star which was responding to the self assigned name “Alliance to Restore the Republic” was destroyed with all hands. The rebels were given this ability by stealing plans from the peaceful colony of Polis Massa. According to the Battle of Yavin records a single fighter managed to get a salvo of proton torpedoes in the thermal exhaust port of the Death Star, this lead to the chain reaction that ultimately destroying millions of lives. I like to note that many were families of the crew of the death star. Here I will answer 5 common arguments, accusations, and misconceptions against the Empire or Rebels.

1. The attack on a supposed diplomatic mission to Alderaan on the Corellian vessel known as the Tantive IV.

(As most know now, this was the ship that received transmissions from rebels with in the colony of Polis Massa. These were the plans to the Death Star, that wwas leaked and stolen, then illegally transmitted to the Tantive IV. The CVS Devastator intercepted the transmission signal, however was unable to intercept the plans. The conflict ensued with the Empire mercifully sparing the ship and Vader himself boarding the ship. Unfortunately the Rebel were able smuggle the plans off with in two droids. This vessel was aiding the Rebel alliance, and none other than Leia Organa (who was detained) was directly involved. Her father being Senator and Viceroy of Alderaan, this implicates his planet as a rebel alliance world. This proves that this was not a diplomatic mission, but a terrorist plot to subvert Imperial law enforcement and endangerment of citizen of the Empire. )

2. The destruction of Alderaan.

( A very controversial call of the Empire, and I will admit with out proper examination would seem like a genocidal attack. The common rebuttal is that Alderaan was unarmed, however the only person making this claim was Leia whom lied twice. Her testimony here is very questionable and cannot be trusted. However, let us take a look at the events leading up to the the destruction of this planet. Alderaan was a beautiful world, their culture did indeed try to preserve the beauty of nature and its environment. Something our Emperor has expressed we all attempt to do. Their government during the Clone Wars, was the Emperor voice of reason for peace. Bail Organa her Viceroy was a dear friend to the Emperor. Their planet truly in premise should be mourned, but its destruction was necessary. Leia Organa was captured and thus implicating Bail Organa's part in the rebel alliance and conspiracy to harm Imperial Citizens. This is further enforced by his signature on the document known as the Petition of 2,000. This unfortunate event was backed by how own people. Moff Tarkin at this moment had no choice but to choose the root of the rebels beginnings on the Core world of Alderaan. With a planet ripe with resources, ancient sites dating back to the old republic days, and it being a prominent world the Empire cannot risk another war like the Clone Wars. Destroying it as a demonstration that ground invasion is not needed to enforce justice. This was a sad and necessary evil. However, if it was not for the destruction of the Death Star could have saved countless lives. )

3. The Attack on the Death Star.

(Not much is needing to be said, those people were doing their jobs and fighting a military target. The rebels attacked the ship and with out giving any offer of surrender or talks. They destroyed the entire vessel and over 1 million citizens and personnel with it. On that planet, there was children, and families. All of which were just supporting hard working citizens trying to bring peace to the Empire. This was an attack on the soul of the Empire. They mercilessly slaughtered those people, this should be self evident. )

4. Accustations of cruelty.

(Hard to believe that there are accusations of cruelty still abound. Most of these cases are of criminals, anarchists, and Jedi religious extremists. There are no cases of innocent people being harm or imprisoned. Even the charts of the Grand Maw Prison can be seen and all the criminals there committed crimes. Due to the nature of the Jedi Terrorists there are some cases that have to dealt with harshly. However, seeing the Emperor's scars from his attempt on his life. We cannot underestimate this Jedi threat. I also want to make mention any acts of cruelty are met with prosecution under Imperial law. )

5. Enslavement of the Wookies on Kashyyyk

(Very common accusation, however when you inspect the Wookies history. We come to find they are open supporters of the Rebels through their actions of harboring and abating Jedi leader Master Yoda. And intelligence reports one of the prime perpetrators was involved in the attack on the Death Star, and the ship responsible for nearly killing Lord Vader. They are currently being detained in concentration camp and given food, shelter and employment. They are not harmed, and currently there are investigations of cruelty done by Trandoshans, justice will be served for those innocents.)

I named a few here that are common, I hope to answer more objections as they are brought up and relevant to the current events. As we are launching probes looking for the rebel terrorists. I ask we continue to serve loyally to the Empire and try to spread positive truth to people and prevent another devastating war.
