Other than that I find not voting to be something arrogant and dumb.

Really? I've never voted. It's not because I can't be arsed. It's not even because of my views on democracy or my distaste of the political party system. It's because I've yet to see a single candidate who has a manifesto that I completely agree with. I point blank refuse to vote for someone that I do not wish to be elected. If that excludes every candidate then so be it. In my opinion, to do otherwise would be foolish and no better than donkey voting.

Russell Brand. A lot of sound and bluster signifying nothing.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.

Not to be confused with Russell Brand vs. Pacman, an upcoming new video game by Namco.

Heres a quiz question for the very smart English boy who knows soooooo much:

What is the best alternative to democracy?

Quote:Oh and he said he'd never voted at all, not sure what you mean by this.

*facedesk*

People who dont vote once statisticaly dont come back to vote.

First time voters also fall into that statistic.

The problem isn't democracy, but the fact that our choices make no difference because the candidates say one thing, do the other, in the end more often than not nothing changes. If we're talking democracy, most of the people want something that's very different from what is going on, so obviously the system has failed to represent the will of the people.

So they have a different system then?

I'm not sure anyone actually said they were against democracy, though tbh I kinda like the idea of meritocracy

I saw this on the news, but didn't watch or listen to it. I'll post here to remind myself to watch it when I get the time.

I absolutely hate Brand though. He's not funny in the slightest.

Which country are you referring to?

I don't see how transparency will stop the government from doing things that people do not want.
